I had the chance to travel with Usha Bora @jaminidesign in South India, around Pondicherry.
This trip was a huge source of inspiration. I soaked up the colors, the smiles, and the spirituality.
Here, I’m sharing my photos and a few really great spots that might come in handy if you’re planning a trip.
My favorite photos and color combinations:

The road always has surprises in store!
Just by walking down the street!
I was really struck by the whimsical design of the houses. Everywhere. The people of this region show boundless imagination in their colorful and eccentric buildings. They often reminded me of the Bolivian architect Freddy Mamani.
The fishing village of VEERPATTINAN

Lunch at Santana in VEERPATTINAN
Visit the Matrimandir in AUROVILLE (No photos allowed—you'll have to figure it out for yourselves.)
You need to book about a week in advance to visit this truly extraordinary place, which left me absolutely speechless. An experience not to be missed.

The temple of THANJAPUR . The beautiful saris in every color against a backdrop of rough stone are absolutely stunning.
For a traditional lunch after visiting the museum in Thanjavur: the Thanjavoor Manpaanai Samayal restaurant:
A quick visit to a weaver: Ammu Silks 15 Amman Sanati, Dharasuram, Kumbakonam 61270
In Pondicherry, I highly recommend the Villa Shanti Hotel.
For those who want a pool, ask for a room in the villa…
Enjoy the seaside, take a tour of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, and browse the shops—Chintz, Anokhi, Via Pondicherry…
A quick massage at Maroma Spa at 6 Suffren Street.
And finally: The market (fish, flowers, spices, fruit…)
Finally, it’s quite a drive, but definitely worth it: the Airavatesvara Temple in Trichy. It’s magnificent and colorful!
See you soon for more inspiration!
